Experience Marbella

The Costa del Sol in Spain is recognised worldwide for its fantastic climate, having some 320 days of sunshine a year on average and its superb golden sandy Mediterranean beaches.

Las Tortugas is located in the foothills of La Conche Mountain, the emblematic symbol of Marbella and next to Lago de Tortugas (Turtle Lake), a well known natural beauty spot. We are very close to Puerto Banus and only 10 minutes from Marbella, two of the most renowned points on the Costa del Sol. Between them is the well known ”Golden Mile”, with its 5 star hotels, restaurants and shops.

Las Tortugas is situated in the heart of the Costa del Golf. Golf clubs in Nueva Andalucia include Quinta (27 holes), Los Naranjos (18), Las Brisas (18) and Aloha (18). The 1998 Ryder Cup course at Valderrama is just a short drive away together with approx 35 other golf courses.

A visit to stylish Marbella, is a must with its elegant shops and beach front walk way. The historic and picturesque old town, with its cobbled streets and famous “ Orange Square” shouldn’t be missed.

This is an all year round holiday destination, with its cosmopolitan ambiance and vibrant selection of leisure activities including the world famous bars, shops, restaurants and of course the many superb golf courses near by.

Los Naranjos golf is perfect for lunch or a coffee, sitting on the terrace overlooking the course. Centro Plaza has the banks and supermarkets and of course, Banus the nightlife and shopping.

Puerto Banus is the most fashionable resort in Spain. Some of the most impressive yachts are moored in the bustling Marina. There is something for everyone with the many cafes, restaurants and boutiques clustered around the peaceful harbour.

Why not relax and watch the world go by, you may even spot a famous face or two as they stroll by? Or take a boat trip along the coast or even to Gibraltar.

If the beach is your preference, why not try the famous Silks Beach Club, about 15 minutes away. There is an excellent restaurant and you could take one of the very large king size beds for the meal and sun bathing. After lunch take a massage, without leaving your bed!!

Shopping is some of the best anywhere, with designer names such as Gucci, Chanel, Armani and Versace in abundance. There is also a large commercial shopping centre with the wonderful department store, El Corte Ingles situated at the entrance to Puerto Banus. The Saturday market at the Bull Ring is certainly worth a visit.

Other attractions include the multi screen cinema complex, horse riding. hang gliding, hot air ballooning in the hills and many superb gymnasiums.

The fantastic Selwo Animal Adventure Safari Park, with 1 million square metres of land and animals from around the world is a short drive away. Take the safari trucks on the narrow mountain tracks or walk the rope suspension bridge. A great day out for all ages.

Fuengirola Zoo, Tivoli World Amusement Park and the many water parks are just some of the other attractions to keep the whole family entertained during your stay in Puerto Banus.

To summarise, Las Tortugas is fabulously situated in an all year round resort, with 320 days of sunshine. Summer is wonderfully hot (30°C or more), with some breeze and the resort buzzes with activity. Spring is great for golfers and visitors who enjoy relative tranquillity and more pleasant temperatures (up to 25°C). Autumn and Winter are still sunny and warm (20°C or so).
